If you have your Arizona Marriage License you can get married today!
My phone rang this morning as I was crossing a few items off my to-do list. Here’s how the conversation went:
Me: Hello, this is Matt.
Jermal: Hello, my fiance and I are at the courthouse and just got our marriage license, but didn’t realize that we can’t get married and have it signed until after 5pm and we leave town. Are you available to sign our marriage license this morning?
Me: You want to get married today? Absolutely!
Fortunately, it worked out. I was booked in the afternoon and had a morning appointment not far from the courthouse, so I had a small window of time to help. I jumped in my car and met them within the hour.
I met Jermal and Jamilah in a parking lot with their witnesses and made it official outside a nearby office building, and they used Ring Pops for their wedding bands! It was so cool and totally took me by surprise. His dad took photos and even though we were in a parking lot outside an office building, it truly seemed like the world stopped when they exchanged vows and rings. I mean ring pops.
Jermal and Jamilah stared deeply into each other’s eyes and kissed passionately when I pronounced them husband and wife. Even though a city of Phoenix employee was working near his truck and saw the whole thing, it truly seemed like it was just the couple for a few moments.
We all waived to the city of Phoenix employee near his truck and he gave us a huge smile. It made his day. How many people get to witness a wedding while at work?
Most people don’t realize how inconvenient the courthouse wedding process is. You can’t get married at the courthouse until after 5pm and only on weekdays. That doesn’t work for many people or their witnesses.
If you have your Arizona marriage license and want to get married today, I can probably help!
Please know that I’m often booked on weekends, officiating premium ceremonies. I love officiating weddings, whether premium or modest, and I always enjoy meeting couples in love and simply signing marriage licenses too!
