Unique Weddings, Fun and Modern Wedding Ceremony: Katie and Drew
Unique weddings are on the rise and a total surprise is a fun way to have a modern wedding ceremony. Their guests thought they were attending a joint birthday party for Katie and Drew, but it turned out to be a surprise wedding!
I met with Katie and Drew to plan their surprise wedding before he even proposed! You can hear a bit of their story told during their ceremony below. I was hiding in the house and they took the microphone to thank their guests for coming to celebrate their birthdays and then Drew said, “You’ve been punked because we’re actually getting married tonight!” The look on people’s faces was the absolute best. One girl even started crying because she was in shock.
We all made our way to the backyard. Everyone gathered around and stood for 15-20 minutes with huge smiles on their faces. The videographer, Kyle from Amore Films beamed with a smile as did the other pros hired. It was so much fun and I’ll never forget the feeling of love in that backyard.
Modern wedding ceremonies can be fun. Katie and Drew, thank you for asking me to officiate one of the most unique weddings I’ve officiated. I had a blast and hope your marriage is the best thing that ever happens for you.
